Chief Trial Lawyer Public Defender Office - Macomb County - Seeking managing litigation attorney who will: direct and coach attorneys; collaborate on the creation and implementation office policies; develop and direct training of personnel; develop and implement a system of attorney performance review, and be part of day-to-day operations. Can be assigned high visibility capital cases. Trial experience is a must. Some supervision experience is preferred. Experience with budgeting, grants, and/or reporting is a plus. Chief Public Defender, Benzie/Manistee County -  Under the direction and supervision of the County Administrator (s), the Public Defender serves as the attorney of record of all indigent adults in criminal cases ensuring that Benzie/Manistee County meets all constitutional and legislative requirements as they pertain to the representation of indigent adult offenders. The Public Defender is responsible for development, implementation, oversight and direction of the Public Defender Office and the indigent defense private counsel conflict/overflow list.
